It is the nature of painting and the investigation of visual elements that drive the meaning of my work. I give my attention to the inherent opposites of the geometric versus the organic and seek to develop a minimal unencumbered image. My considerations are expressed through color, form and space.

My focus is on order versus chaos, with the relationship between negative and positive space, the interaction of color and value opposites. Contrasts and difference of marks create at once tempo and discord. Compositions include transformations, permanence, and unexpected elements.
